Lesnar is Back?!

It's nothing new for the Lesnar haters to show their ugly faces anytime he makes headlines. I've read several reports today about Lesnar's return to wrestling. The comments on these articles are just ridiculous. "Lesnar wasn't a good fighter?" "He ran back to wrestling because he was scared?"
People like that infuriate me. The man almost dies twice from diverticulitis, and misses over a year of competition. Yet he trains regardless, and fights at the highest level of mma competition in the world. How can it be said he wasn't a good fighter? He dominated Heath Herring, a former heavyweight contender, broke his orbital bone with a single punch and retired Herring from mma. TKO's Randy Couture, a legend and arguably one of the greatest ever in the cage. Then defends the title against the man who handed him his first loss. Knocking out Frank Mir, a very dangerous BJJ blackbelt, in the second round.
Then astounding the world once again, takes on possibly the hardest hitting man in the heavyweight division. Lesnar endured the first barrage of blows, and defended himself just enough to keep the ref from stopping it. As the second round began, Lesnar smiled at the man who had just beat his face in for 5 minutes. With no hesitation Lesnar hits a big takedown and an arm triangle submission, forcing the monsterous Shane Carwin to tapout.
Of course after this victory while training for his fight with Junior Dos Santos, Lesnar was diagnosed with his deadly disease. He fought with it not once, but twice and won. The fact that he ever stepped back into the cage again was amazing.
I for one am extremely excited about Lesnar's return to wrestling, he can work a few nights a month, make a couple of PPV appearances, and make great money. But most of all his impact on wrestling is undeniable, he has the brute strength of a big guy with the speed of a cruiserweight. His contract may only be for a year, but I for one think its going to be one hell of a year
The purpose of this was to hopefully remind some of these Lesnar Haters of his great accomplishments, and to show how excited I am to have one of my favorite wrestlers back in the ring.

American Censorship

This is a hot topic issue for some people, and understandably so. I never really knew how bad it was until I experienced it myself. It pains me to see our basic American rights violated.

My girlfriend, her best friend, and her best friends fiance, and I all decided to go bowling. I figured "why not?", I haven't been in awhile. We go, and I know already that the lady that works there is going to harass me, based on multiple previous experiences. The last two times I had come to this place, she would stop the game and tell me to pull up my pants. Here's the problem with that though, my pants were up around my waist, and I had a tanktop on under my shirt and tucked into my pants. So what she thought was underwear was just my black tanktop showing. I was willing to let these incidents slide, but this past weekend when we went, I realized why censorships is such a big issue. I was wearing a black t-shirt that read, "a**hole." And she made me turn it inside out to stay in the bowling alley, she felt the need to try to censor an already censored t-shirt. Now obviously the woman doesn't like me, for reasons I do not know. However, violating my freedom of speech and freedom of expression is unacceptable. Out of courtesy to my girlfriend and her friends, I did not make a scene. But I guarantee, I won't go back there and waste my hard earned money. I've checked the reviews and ratings for the place, I get very similar results in them all. Things like "staff needs to learn people skills", "rude to customers", "staff has bad attitude" are all included in these reviews.

I wanted to share this injustice with the world; and speak out against the unlawful, and unconstitutional censorship of american citizens. Just for reference if anyone wants to know the name of this place, so as to stay away from it. Its the Expo 300, located on Hwy 25 in Greenwood, SC. Instead of smiles, you'll be greeted with snarls.

The Dark Knight Fails?!

As many have seen, the new Batman trailer is out now and it seems to have gotten mixed emotions so far. In one corner you have the die hard fans that overlook any flaws, just because its batman. In the other corner you have those that have noticed a few things in particular, and have pointed out what could make or break the final chapter in this series.

I have found quite a few things that have made me ask the question "why?", as I watched the new trailer. The first and easiest thing to notice is the casting of the Bane character. Nothing against Tom Hardy as an actor, but when thinking of Bane, Hardy is definitely not the first person that comes to mind. Bane is supposed to be a behemoth, a freak of nature that destroys anyone and anything in his path. It was a complete shock to see that this Bane is no bigger than 'the caped crusader' himself. Yet another complaint is that Bane's mask makes it almost impossible to understand his dialogue, especially when there are explosions and all kinds of background noises. This makes me wonder, Why cast Bane as a main villain anyway? Let's face it, he's far from a genius in the comics, yet Nolan has given him what seems to be an abundance of lines. A much better option in my opinion would have been to do The Riddler character as originally planned, but add the dark twist, as was done with The Joker's character. Johnny Depp would have made an excellent Riddler, his dark humor and unique acting abilities would match up perfectly with the iconic villain. Regardless of the faults I've found in the trailer thus far, I will definitely be in line to see it on opening night. I only hope that Nolan doesn't stray too far from the story, and that this final installment in the seriers isn't a huge disappointment. It has big shoes to fill, following the Joker's performance. Only time will tell as to whether or not The Dark Knight truly rises, or drops in to a downward spiral. As always, your opinions and both positive and negative criticism are welcome.

Thoughts on Brock Lesnar (Past, Present, Future)

Let me start this off by saying I am a huge Brock Lesnar fan. I've followed his entire professional career; from his WWE days, to his Viking tryouts, wrestling in japan, and finally into his MMA career. The reason I chose to include that little tidbit of information is because, I don't want to sound like I'm one of the millions of Lesnar haters.
If you've watched any of Lesnar's past fights, and witnessed the overwhelming power and speed of the monster he is; then you can't deny the man is a true fighter. But based on his performance this past friday; I have to be honest, I've never been more disappointed in any of his performances. Lesnar still didn't want to take a punch, I don't think I've ever seen anyone be that timid and scared of getting hit. Regardless, he shouldn't have been on his feet long enough to take any strikes. As soon as the fight started he should have bulldozed Overeem, established a strong side control, and pounded his face in like he did with Frank Mir.
I am amazed that he had the guts to get back in the cage after his battle with diverticulitis, and proud to be a Lesnar fan. But I think I speak for most MMA fans when I say, the Lesnar era is done. I wish him the best in his future, regardless of if he makes a (doubtful) WWE return, or not. But for his safety, if he's not going to learn to take a punch, retiring was the best option.
Well I'm done ranting for the moment,  I hope that whoever reads this enjoys it. Positive/Negative feedback and criticism are welcome.
